Connie Noyes makes seductive art from utilitarian materials to draw awareness to the often-limited perception of beauty and worth. Her interest in materials and in constructing provocative experiences has led her to combine photography, painting, performance, writing and sound into her work.
She has traveled to diverse cultures on five continents through residency programs and exhibitions. She recently had a solo exhibition in Paris and was included in Is Abstract Painting Dead? in London. Her interest to maintain connections and continue dialog with artists she meets while traveling, led her to begin the organization A.R.G. -Artists Respond Globally and In the Pink: the 1,000,000 people art project. In the Pink will officially launch with an interactive website in April 2012 at onemillionpink.org. She received her MFA from SAIC and a Masters in psychology from Notre Dame de Namur Uniiversity in California. She currently lives and works in Chicago.
